On March 23, CFLC entered into a partnership agreement with COSCO Shipping Lines Xiamen Branch regarding the joint development of an internship base for CFLC students. The agreement was inked by Professor Xu Qi on behalf of CFLC and by Mr. Huang Xinqun representing the shipping company.

On April 19, the internship base officially opened at the headquarters of COSCO Shipping Lines Xiamen Branch with a formal launch ceremony. Following the ceremony, CFLC faculty members visited the shipping company’s berths for ocean-going vessels. They also observed storage yard and crane operations and boarded the “New America” container vessel. The visit concluded with a tour of the company’s “Home of Sailors”.
